The month of May places us square in the middle of spring and on the fast track towards the summer months. Very little can prepare us to change our mindset from being stuck inside during the cold weather months to getting ready for the warm air and sunshine like the right music. If you could share the stage with any musician, who would it be?

Gary Stanton: Ray Price. He was my grandpa’s favorite artist and he is the reason I started liking country music.

Charlie Muncaster: Chris Stapleton. I admire him as a vocalist and I’m not too sure there is another vocalist in the male country genre who can hold a candle to him.

Who is currently on your playlist?

GS: Everything from Chance the Rapper to James Taylor.

CM: The Steel Woods. Wade Town. Jason Isbell. American Aquarium. Adam Hood. Dierks Bentley. Cody Johnson. Johnny Paycheck. Doug Stone.

Musically, who influenced you growing up?

GS: I listened to a lot of 2000’s alternative. I would have to say bands like Fall Out Boy, Hawthorn Heights and Silverstein.

CM: I always looked up to my Papa (grandfather). Musically speaking, I was in many choirs growing up and I found my love to sing in church.

If you could share the stage with any musician, who would it be?

SC: Definitely Justin Timberlake. He is my man crush, idol, hero (the list goes on for a while) so I would love to get to share the stage with him for an evening.

Who is currently on your playlist?

SC: Walker Hayes, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt, Ed Sheeran and Maren Morris. They are all sooooo good!

What was the moment where you felt like you had ”arrived” as a musician?

SC: I really don’t feel like I have hit that moment quite yet, but the closest I have come was opening up for Chris Lane in Denver (my hometown) last October. It was a crazy moment for me because just a year earlier, I went to see Dustin Lynch and Chris Lane at the same venue as a fan!

What song is the most personal to you?

CA: It changes, but right now probably “What Ya Get” from the new Only To Borrow EP, because it is my middle finger song to all those people telling me I need to have an edge or be different. I think nice guys can have a huge edge, so just go listen to it. You’ll get the picture.

Who is currently on your playlist?

CA: I’ve been jamming to a lot of Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats.

What is the craziest story from touring that you would let me write about?

CA: The key there is what you can write about… I’ll just say that when I first started playing music, we used to have a lot of epic hot tub parties. Our neighbors loved us.
