For some, the more you drink the friendlier you get with even the slightest acquaintances. This was Harold McElhone’s – a well-known prohibition bartender – inspiration for this delicious drink. The modern version has a little more whiskey, giving it a well deserved kick compared to the 1922 version. Go on, stir up this classic for a few strangers and perhaps you’ll make a new BFF.

1.25 oz Rye Whiskey (We used
Russell’s Rye Whiskey)

1 oz Campari

1 oz Dry Vermouth

1) Combine all ingredients and stir with ice until cold.

2) Strain and pour in to a coupe glass. Top with orange oil and garnish with orange peel.
